Josh Marruffo, a fourth-year student at The Modern College of Design in Kettering, Ohio, was one of fifty students inducted into the American Advertising Federation’s Most Promising Multicultural Students Program Class of 2022 on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Josh is the first Modern student to be inducted into this prestigious program.

Celebrating 25 years, the Most Promising Multicultural Students Program recognizes the necessity of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of design, marketing, and advertising. This year’s judging panel included representatives from Amazon, The Coca-Cola Company, Meta, Omnicom Media Group, SiriusXM, TikTok, and more. AAF selected the inductees from over 140 college chapters.

In addition to Marruffo, exceptional college students from Arizona State University, Brigham Young University, California State University, Florida A&M University, Howard University, Syracuse University, University of Georgia, University of Kentucky, University of Minnesota, University of Oregon, and more comprise the 2022 class.

The inductees will network with top advertisers, media companies, and advertising agency professionals. They will also participate in professional development and personal branding workshops.

Josh is currently an intern focusing on user interface and user experience design (UI/UX) at Bonfire Red, a branding studio in Columbus, Ohio (bonfirered.com), through a cooperative learning experience at The Modern. Josh will graduate this June with a Bachelor of Arts in Design Leadership and launch his professional career.
