Offering Updated Associate Degree Program This Fall

SAA granted approval for the college to offer an updated version of its existing Associate Degree program
The School of Advertising Art (SAA) announced that its accrediting body, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), has granted approval for the college to offer an updated version of its existing Associate Degree program.

The updated curriculum will allow students to experience the hybrid design concept that the college is nationally known for, while granting the flexibility to customize SAA’s award-winning program. This update will ultimately grant students the opportunity to select courses that align with their unique career aspirations.

“We pride ourselves on equipping our students with the skills they need to be successful, innovative leaders in the design industry,” commented SAA President Jessica Barry. “We are thrilled to have received ACCSC’s approval and are excited to begin offering this updated curriculum to our students in the fall of 2018.”

The two-year design college has been committed to continually updating their curriculum in accordance with industry trends.

SAA recently moved another step closer to offering a bachelor’s degree to students by receiving approval of its proposed bachelor degree completion program in design leadership by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools. This approval marks the second consent the program has received. The Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) granted SAA institutional authorization and approval to award their first bachelor degree in December 2017.

The next steps for the college include gaining approval by ACCSC and the U.S. Department of Education before the bachelor’s program will be offered to students.
