SAA Receives Second Board Approval for Bachelor’s Degree Program

Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools has granted approval of SAA’s proposed bachelor degree
The School of Advertising Art (SAA) has been granted approval of its proposed bachelor degree completion program in design leadership by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools.

This approval marks the second consent the program has received. The Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) granted SAA institutional authorization and approval to award their first bachelor degree in December 2017.

“SAA is excited to see our proposed program gain approval from both ODHE and the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools,” SAA President Jessica Barry commented. “SAA has always taken great pride in updating our curriculum in accordance with the evolving needs of the design industry. We know that a bachelor degree in design leadership will benefit our students by providing graduates with increased options for advancement in their professional careers.”

Currently, SAA offers a two-year associate degree of applied business in advertising art. The college is nationally recognized for the award-winning designs produced by students and has been named one of the top design schools in the country by GDUSA for six consecutive years.

SAA needs further approval before the bachelor degree program can be offered to students. The college is still seeking consent from its accrediting body, ACCSC (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges), and the U.S. Department of Education.
