The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges/ACCSC is a recognized institutional accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education that accredits The Modern College of Design.

The Modern receives its Associate Degree authorization and Certificate of Registration (#2028) from the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools, Columbus, Ohio.

The Modern receives its Baccalaureate Degree authorization from the Ohio Department of Higher Education and the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools.

The State Approving Agency for Veterans Training approves The Modern. Ohio State Department of Education, Columbus, Ohio.

The Modern is approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.
