Distance Learning Extended for the Remainder of the Semester

In light of recent events regarding COVID-19, The Modern is extending its distance education plan through the rest of the semester and will offer a new pass/fail grading option. The Modern hopes that the new pass/fail grading option will alleviate students’ concerns.

The Modern’s distance education plan began on March 16 with all courses being offered remotely. Students, faculty, and staff quickly adjusted to this new virtual environment.

“Students, faculty, and staff have shown amazing resilience and flexibility during such an unprecedented time. We have all learned how to better communicate digitally–a skill that is extremely valuable in today’s digital environment,” President Jessica Barry.

Students, parents, faculty, and staff were provided with frequently asked questions that outline specific information on grading options and more.

The Modern will continue working to provide students the best experience possible. Students are encouraged to continue checking their email for correspondence and updates.
