The Modern College of Design proudly announces that Andy Nick will serve as the 2023 commencement speaker. Andy is a Kettering resident and graduate of the University of Dayton with a degree in visual communication design. For nearly 20 years, Andy has contributed to award-winning work at Real Art, one of the top employers of Modern graduates. Andy currently serves as Design Director and Video Team Lead.

Dedicated to helping the next generation of Modern students launch their careers, Andy has volunteered as a guest speaker, mock interviewer, externship supervisor, and program advisory committee member. Most recently, Andy served as a panelist and shared his work with students at The Modern’s first Design Day.

“Andy is one of the region's most beloved creatives,” shared President Jessica Barry. “Andy’s passion for creativity and design will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on our graduates.”

The Modern is hosting its 2023 Commencement Ceremony on June 4, 2023, at the Dayton Art Institute in Dayton, Ohio.
