The Modern College of Design Begins First Baccalaureate Class

[KETTERING, OH, 8/19/19] – The Modern College of Design’s 2019-2020 academic year commences today, Monday, August 19. The college continues its strong enrollment trend with over 200 students starting classes this year. Of these students, 23 are enrolled in the college’s first-ever Bachelor of Arts in Design Leadership program.

The college saw a 31% increase in out-of-state students. Of the 200 students 70% move to Kettering to attend The Modern fulfilling local jobs and contributing to the local economy.  Due to the number of students who move to Kettering, the college is working to identify a site for on-campus student housing in the near future.

The college is still enrolling students for a new midterm program starting on October 16th, 2019. If you are interested in becoming a student at The Modern, please contact the admissions office for information on how you can still enroll this term.

“The first day of classes is always filled with promise for a successful year,” states Jessica Barry, president of The Modern College of Design.  “Moving ahead, we expect to continue growing student enrollment and sustaining our job placement rate of 93-100%.”

The Modern anticipates a very successful year as it continues to educate the next generation of design leaders.
