The Modern College of Design Welcomes New Students and Achieves Record Enrollment

The Modern College of Design’s 2021-2022 academic year and fall semester commenced yesterday, August 23. A record number of students started The Modern’s award-winning residential and online Design and Design Leadership programs.

New student enrollment in 2021 increased by 6% over any other year in The Modern’s nearly 40-year history. Convenient online and part-time programs fueled this growth, allowing students to learn new skills on their schedules.

The Modern also introduced five new faculty and staff members. Three faculty members joined The Modern, whose professional experience includes web design, social media, business, and leadership, and two staff members joined the admissions team to serve students better.

Students, faculty, and staff follow The Modern Reset 5.0 plan, which focuses on wearing masks and practicing good hygiene.

“The health and wellness of our students, faculty, and staff continue to be our main priority throughout the fall semester,” shared President Jessica Barry. “I am grateful for their cooperation which allows us to offer fully in-person, residential programs.”
