The Modern Recognizes Faculty and Staff Members of the Year

On December 15, 2023, The Modern College of Design recognized the Faculty and Staff Members of the Year on campus. Honorees were nominated by their colleagues for exemplary service to students and professional accomplishments.

Instructor A.J. Busé was named co-faculty member of the year. A.J.’s colleagues noted that his positive attitude, professional affiliation with the American Advertising Federation, and extraordinary contributions to student organizations such as the Pride Club and National Student Advertising Competition teams make him a great instructor.

Instructor Paul Garcher was also named co-faculty member of the year. Paul’s colleagues recognized him as the faculty’s “unsung hero” dedicated to improving the curriculum and helping students succeed. They commented that his positive attitude, exceptional attention to detail, and strong listening skills make him an incredible instructor.

Director of Administrative Services Betsy McFaddin was named staff member of the year. Betsy’s colleagues described her as the “go-to person” on campus who is dependable and supportive. They shared that her patience, professionalism, and kindness make her an excellent staff member, and her work will impact The Modern for years to come.
