The Modern College of Design released The Modern Reset 2.0, a plan to provide valuable information about program delivery options and safety protocols for students, faculty, and staff returning to campus for the fall semester starting on August 24, 2020.
To reduce the number of students who are on campus at any given time, The Modern is offering hybrid courses that include a combination of in-person classes and online learning and fully-online courses.
The Modern’s campus reopened in mid-May, and a small group of faculty, staff, and students have welcomed visitors to campus for nearly two months. The Modern has carefully worked to ensure the campus is a safe and comfortable environment.
Recently, The Modern hosted a summer open house and graduation events, including Commencement35 and Reveal35. Through symptom assessments and practicing good hygiene, students, family, and friends celebrated the achievements of The Modern’s 2020 graduates. This Saturday, The Modern is thrilled to welcome students and guests to both virtual and in-person New Student Orientation sessions throughout the day.
“The health and wellness of our students, faculty, and staff continue to be our main priority as we begin offering in-person classes in August,” shared President Jessica Barry. “It has been wonderful to see our campus come back to life through carefully planned events and activities.”
The Modern will continue to monitor the Ohio Health Department’s updates closely and update the plan as needed. Students, parents, faculty, and staff will receive updates if the plan evolves.
