The Modern College of Design Becomes an Educational Partner with The Dayton Workforce Program

[KETTERING, OH, 1/10/20]

The Modern College of Design is proud to become the most recent educational partner with The Dayton Workforce Program. The Modern is well known for bringing and maintaining strong workforce talent to the Dayton region and matches well with the Workforce Program’s mission “to strengthen Dayton’s businesses by creating a program to retain tech talent within the local community.”

During this year’s forum held at Sinclair Community College on January 10th, special guest Ohio Lt. Governor Jon Husted referenced how businesses are dependent on colleges and colleges are dependent on businesses. He also stressed the need to work collaboratively to ensure Ohio’s success and that a steady stream of talent resides in Ohio’s workforce.

The Modern is excited to be alongside other great local colleges such as UD, Wright State and Miami to educate our tech-savvy youth. The Modern has two unique degrees: an Associate Degree of Applied Business in Design program and a new Bachelor’s Degree Completion Program in Design Leadership. Both programs establish future designers and will help funnel talent in Ohio for years to come,” states Jessica Barry, president of The Modern College of Design. “We look forward to working together in the years ahead.”
