The Modern’s 2020 Scholarship Competition Winners Announced

This year, The Modern College of Design has awarded nearly a million dollars in institutional scholarships and grants to incoming students. Incoming students recently entered the college's Design Program scholarship competition. A committee of Modern alumni, employed within the industry, reviewed the students' submitted work and determined the final winners.

The 2020 competition winners are:

Daniel E. Johnson Memorial Scholarship ($10,000)

• Lauren Patchett, Ohio, Kettering CC/Kettering Fairmont High School

Portfolio Competition Scholarships ($5,000)

• Parker Hess, Indiana, Columbus Signature Academy New Tech High School

• Amber Reveal, Ohio, Kings High School

• Khayla Abron, Ohio, Lakota West High School/Butler Tech Career Tech Center

• Alyssa Vloedman, Ohio, Springboro High School/Warren County Career Center

"By offering diverse institutional awards, we strive to recognize achievement for talented incoming students," shared Jessica Barry, president of The Modern. "We know that students are making an investment in their future, and institutional awards are a way we can help them reduce their tuition expenses and reward them for creating exceptional work."
