This year, The Modern College of Design has awarded nearly a million dollars in institutional scholarships and grants to incoming students. Incoming students recently entered the college’s Design Program scholarship competition. A committee of Modern alumni, employed within the industry, reviewed the students’ submitted work and determined the final winners.

The 2020 competition winners are:

Daniel E. Johnson Memorial Scholarship ($10,000)
• Lauren Patchett, Ohio, Kettering CC/Kettering Fairmont High School

Portfolio Competition Scholarships ($5,000)
• Parker Hess, Indiana, Columbus Signature Academy New Tech High School
• Amber Reveal, Ohio, Kings High School
• Khayla Abron, Ohio, Lakota West High School/Butler Tech Career Tech Center
• Alyssa Vloedman, Ohio, Springboro High School/Warren County Career Center
