The Modern Kicks-off Summer Term

The Modern College of Design kicked off its summer term on June 7, 2021, with new students and faculty members. Nearly 100 students are enrolled in The Modern’s nationally recognized residential and online Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degree programs, a 51% increase over last year’s enrollment. Two-thirds of the student body is taking courses at The Modern’s Kettering campus.

Industry experts including Crystal Dennis, Mary Garrison, Doug Knopp, Aryn Landes, Richard Nagel, Ryan Roche, and Ben Stafford, and John Stanton joined The Modern as faculty this summer and are teaching courses in the industries’ most in-demand skills, including UI/UX, motion, video, branding, illustration, and more.

“Strong enrollment during the summer term is a testament to our students’ dedication to completing their degrees and entering the workforce,” states President Jessica Barry. “Demand for designers with skills in UI/UX, video, motion, social media content was accelerated during the pandemic and remains strong for Modern graduates.”
