The Modern Partners with Kettering Health to Provide Corporate Design Training

The Modern College of Design is proud to announce a new partnership with Kettering Health to provide corporate design training.

As consumers and technologies evolve, The Modern is committed to providing designers and organizations with the training they need to engage with their customers in new ways. When Kettering Health inquired about cross-training their designers in video editing and motion design, it was the perfect opportunity for two Kettering-based organizations to partner. The Modern's Career Services Director, Rick Willits, worked closely with Kelly Long, Creative Services Manager at Kettering Health, to customize a course to fit their needs.

Kettering Health employees kicked off a hybrid video and motion design course on April 5 with a workshop on The Modern's campus with Instructor Tess Cortez. Next, they will complete an 8-week online course culminating with a final workshop at The Modern. The employees will gain the critical knowledge and skills needed to develop videos with motion graphics and animation for various applications in the creative services and marketing departments. The hybrid format will allow the designers to complete the course at times convenient to their daily work/life schedules.

"The demand for digital content creation for social media, including video, motion design, photography, and copywriting, accelerated rapidly throughout the pandemic," shared Jessica Barry, President of The Modern. "We are proud to assist organizations in training their employees to reach consumers through digital media."

Organizations interested in providing training for their employees in social media, video, motion design, graphic design, web design, photography, and more can contact Rick Willits at 937-294-0592 or rick.willits@themodern.edu.
