[KETTERING, OH, 2/23/19] – The American Advertising Federation (AAF-Dayton) hosted its annual Hermes Awards tonight in Dayton, and The Modern’s students earned a total of 28 awards across the bronze, silver, and gold ADDY categories. The Hermes competition recognizes excellence in marketing, advertising, and design.

Two students from The Modern, Bryce Herbst and Ashlee Langenkamp, won the gold ADDY for students, which is named “The Dan Johnson Award for Creative Achievement.” Johnson was a respected designer, artist, and mentor who taught at The Modern for many years. The students will advance to the district level of the ADDYs, competing with other winners from Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
